Andy Tye Retires After Over 35 Years in the Industry

Friday Jan 10th - 09:01

ATB Morley’s Sales Director, Andy Tye, decided to take early retirement and has left the company shortly before the New Year.  Andy is a Mining Engineer by profession, which has led him to “interfere” with many other disciplines, enlightening people in the process. He worked for British Coal in a number of UK mines, prior to moving into the mining equipment sector, before latterly joining ATB Morley.

In a message to customers and colleagues Andy wrote:

“After many years working in this demanding and rewarding industry, I have been to many places throughout the world, and more particularly worked with a great number of dedicated and talented people, many of which I hope will remain friends after I retire. Recently, when dealing with Morley customers outside mining, I have found similar people just as talented & committed to their industries. I take great pride in having been able to work in the extraction and manufacturing sectors for all of my working life. I wish all the best for the future to all who I have worked with and thank you for the help & memories.”

We all wish Andy the best of luck in his retirement which he plans to spend with his family and enjoying his hobby of photography.
