Dynamometers

We manufacture dynamometer motors for speeds of up to 12000rpm which are used in rolling road and engine testing rigs.  These machines are utilised in a number of industries from education to automotive racing and associated industries.

Natural frequencies of rotors are analysed at the design stage and verified during manufacture to ensure suitability of the machine for the anticipated operation.  The rotors are also balanced to a very fine tolerance to minimise noise and vibration.

For acoustic testing, quiet motors are available with carefully selected bearings and rotors balanced to a very fine tolerance. High speed machines are available for engine testing with low rotor inertia whilst rolling road applications are run at low speeds but require high torque.  Whatever the application we can offer various cooling options and can provide a full package including bed, encoder, flow switches and pumps if required.
